Hakchi Nes Classic Mini issue - usb device not recognized

WebSetting up a new nes classic mini using Hakchi v3.9.1 and having issues. When I try the USB cable that comes with the mini, every time I plug in the USB cable it gives the "USB device not recognized because it malfunctioned the last time you used it" message. I've read a few other posts on here, tried their suggestions, nothing works.
